We’re delighted to highlight that UDIA member Severin Soder (Architectus) will lead the Auckland edition of the CTBUH 2025 Global Walking Tour, taking place on Thursday, 4 September 2025 from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. This free, in-person tour, part of the 12th annual global series, showcases how tall buildings contribute to urban life from the street level up .

Starting at St Patrick’s Square, participants will explore a dynamic route through central Auckland, including:

Hotel Indigo rising from a heritage base

Voco Hotel and 50 Albert Street, sharing a new laneway that links Albert Street with Mills Lane

Commercial Bay and its innovative podium with open-air laneways

• The future-facing Pūmanawa Downtown West, redeveloping the central car park into a vibrant mixed-use precinct

Don’t miss this opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation about urban design, connectivity, and placemaking alongside fellow professionals and enthusiasts.

Register now via the CTBUH website, attendance is free but spaces are limited!

Let’s come together to celebrate how thoughtful architecture and design enrich our city streets and public spaces.
